ndrea Lee, who is a rising LPGA Tour-star is highlighted by her maiden win at the Portland Classic of 2022. Lee was a winner at every level, which includes her collegiate golf career at Standford University where she earned nine victories, and was ranked for 17 weeks at the top of the Women's Amateur in the World. The Women's Amateur team with the most points at close of the season in 2019 Lee took home the Mark H. McCormack Memorial Medal. Lee made the switch to professional that same year. Andrea Lee made her name as an amateur and is now professionally trained. These are some facts that you might not know of regarding the American LPGA Tour player. Andrea Lee is a Los Angeles native, born in the month of the month of August in 1998. James, her father James taught her to play golf at the age of she was just five years old. At age 8 she started competing in tournaments, and within four years, won 50 Junior titles. This year's US Women's Open was her first major cut. At the age of 15, her father caddied for her. She was invited by sponsors to participate in the 2015 ANA Inspiration LPGA Tour, but she did not make it to the cut. Lee represented the USA at the Junior Ryder Cup Junior Solheim Cup Curtis Cup as well as for the Women's World Amateur Team Championship. Following her admission to Stanford University in 2016 she became the top-rated athlete in the history of the university at that time when over the following three years she won nine individual titles. Lee completed her degree in 2018 quit Stanford University for the professional world. Her amateur years included 17 consecutive weeks in the top of the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Lee won an award called the Mark H. McCormack award for the 2019 season after being the number one amateur. As an amateur, Lee achieved four holes in one round and one albatross. The first time she played, she had two top-10 finishings. She finished seventh in the AIG Women's Open 2020, held on Kingsbarns Golf Links. Lee won her first LPGA Tour title at the 2022 Portland Classic. Lee devoted her victory to her late father Min who called me a champ and was always confident that I could do it. It was an honor to have him as a grandfather. I knew that he'd be watching. Her earlier competitions include soccer, taekwondo, as well as figure skating.
